2012 Painting Classes
Renee Sisk is going to be
offering painting
classes on a regular basis in the Association Building
starting the first of the year. Half of the fee to participate in
the painting class will be donated to the Sunset Lake fireworks
fund. Renee is a retired Elementary and Junior High art teacher from
Lincoln Elementary Schools in Lincoln, Illinois where she taught for
25 years. Renee enjoys working with people, children and adults,
teaching painting skills and techniques and sharing the joy that can
be found in painting. No experience in painting is necessary, just a
desire to be creative and have fun.
The painting classes will either be acrylic on canvas or watercolor. All materials are provided including pencils, brushes, paint and canvas or paper watercolors. Renee paints along with the class, demonstrating techniques and mixing colors until the work is completed. Please stop by the office to see some examples of her work that was done in painting classes in her studio, The Dragonfly Art Studio, in Elkhart, Illinois. Many who come to paint with Renee are retirees who have expressed a desire to paint but have never taken the time, and now have discovered hidden talents and most of all the joy that can be found in finishing a painting.

1st Place Bass with 9.9 lbs was Luke Engel
2nd Place was Ben Johnson with 8.7 lbs
